“No Subject” (2019) was filmed in Denver, Colorado during the winter of 2011 while MA was a visiting professor at the Korbel School of International Studies at Denver University. MA edited the film and created the sound scape in Milan in 2019 and it will be premiered at the NYsoundCircuit salon series. The film is about a woman on a train. A phone booth in a deserted neighbourhood. A letter received. Replies drafted at the axis where two extremes meet: when there is too much to say and when there is nothing to say. That place where the messenger has been both erased by the absence of content as well as the content that has annihilated the messenger.
Filmed and edited by Miriam Aziz (“MA”) – Sound Design by MA recorded at INDIEHUB – Milan (IT) and Lofish Studios – New York (USA) – Saxophone: Danielle di Majo – Violin: David Sanella – Cello: Justin Kantor
